At Resinating Memories we take special objects that hold your precious memories and turn them into bespoke works of art.
What type of jewellery can I order?
As Resinating Memories has just launched, we are offering European style beads, faceted beads and a range of Handmade Solid Brass and Copper bezel pendants at this time. There is a significant amount of research and trialling going on behind the scenes to test and perfect the products we offer. We believe you should only be offered the best products and more styles will be available very soon. If you already have an idea for a different piece or would like to provide your own bezel or setting, please contact us, we may be able to help.
How does this process work?
You will contact us to discuss your piece or pieces of art, we will provide you with a quote including return shipping cost. After payment you send your inclusions to us and we cast them into a setting as discussed and return the finished product to you.
How much does it cost?
As each piece is a one of a kind creation, one price does not suit all. Some pieces, such as the free-form hair bead, require less techniques and time to complete. Others require multiple resin mixes & pours, cure times and layering to achieve the desired results. Our Eurobeads start at NZ$25, Pendants at NZ$50 and the total cost will be discussed and confirmed with you as part of the design process. Prices are inclusive of packaging and tracked delivery to your chosen address.
How long will this take?
This will depend on how quickly the inclusions are received and if we need to source any specialist items for your artwork. Sometimes items require multiple layers of resin so the piece needs time to cure in between each pour. The usual turnaround time is between one and three weeks after everything has been received. If an artwork is required urgently we will need to discuss this directly. We can provide gift vouchers on request.
What is an “inclusion”?
Any item that you would like to have included in the artwork such as small shells, a lock of hair, baby teeth, ribbon etc.
How big can my inclusions be, how many can I use?
This is a little bit limited by the size of the piece, our largest produced bezel at the moment has a 26mm inner diameter. You can use more than one inclusion but adding too many may cause a cluttered look and may reduce the strength of the resin cast. Often inclusions are placed in layers so consideration needs to be given as to how the piece will be viewed.
Do you provide any inclusions?
We have basic items that can be added to enhance your artwork such as gold leaf, glitters, sand, seed beads, charms etc. We are happy to use and source these if you wish, rather than you having to send absolutely all the bits and pieces.
What materials are used for the items?
We use jewellery grade crystal clear epoxy resin and stamped 925 Sterling silver bead grommets for the beads. The bezels are handcrafted from solid Brass and Copper. Of course, if you prefer a setting in another precious metal such as gold, we can order these in at an additional cost and turnaround time.
How will my artwork arrive?
We use NZPost or Fastways to carry and track your parcel. Your piece will be safely packaged in a velvet jewellery bag and gift box, also making it perfect to send directly to a recipient as a gift. We can also include a gift card and/or coloured, corded display necklace or bracelet at your request.

PREPARE
Choose your inclusions.
Prepare, clean & dry if needed.
Pack securely, zip lock bags are good.
Protect any fragile pieces with cardboard.
Get it "Post ready", ensure you have a sturdy envelope or bag and correct postage.
Step3
PURCHASE
Make payment to our account for the amount shown on the design confirmation slip.
Please note that work will not begin on your piece until payment is received, even if the inclusions have been received prior.
